Mirrors Edge Review

In the game mirrors edge you are controlling a woman named fath, in a first person perspective you are challenged to go across the city by running across walls, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and get inside a building using the air vents.

The movements of the game was based on parkour  where you try to navigate various obstacles. Her main objective is to deliver messages around the city.
Faith looking down at the nice view of the city
"But that’s the first thing to make clear: Mirror’s Edge really works. It actually feels like you’re running – or jumping, or shimmying, or skidding. This game’s closest relations, in terms of ideas, are probably Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider, both of which give you an easy time keeping in touch with the position of your character because you can always see them. The crucial thing with Mirror’s Edge’s leap from third to first person is that you maintain that sense of which bits of you are where, thanks to the motion of the screen and the way arms and legs occasionally cross your vision – and therefore you know what to do with them next."

Metacritic 81/100    GameRankings: 80.23%    1UP.com: A-   IGN: 8.5/10    Game Informer: 8/10

F.E.A.R. 3 Review

F.E.A.R. 3 is a first-person shooter with horror. Its a game that appeals to horror and shooter fans alike.

The game has 2 kinds of game play campaign, and multiplayer. The campaign is split into 8 intervals (sections). Multiplayer has 4 different game modes you can play. The game modes are "Fucking Run" "Contractions" "Soul Survivor" and "Soul King". "Fucking Run" it has a maximum of 6 players where you are killing wave after wave of enemies. You start off in the safe room where you have to kill enemies in a certain amount of time, there is 7 safe rooms through the game mode. "Contractions" is a round based survival game mode where you need to barricade enemies and stock up on weapons.

It has 20 waves of enemies from the F.E.A.R. 3 this game mode is similar to Call of Duty's Nazi Zombies. "Soul Survivor" has 4 players verse each other with one player as a "Spectre" where he/she has to possess enemies to kill the other 3 players so they can become spectres before the time runs out. "Soul King" is like Soul survivor but all the players are spectre and each player needs to possess enemies to kill each other and collect souls.

If you haven't played F.E.A.R. 1 & 2 then you will not understand parts of the story line, like why you are here and "whats a F.E.A.R agent?". But thats ok, its still one of the best games that you ever played.

Overall its a good mix of shooting and horror, they have mastered the mixture.

Killing Floor Review

Killling Floor is a multiplayer co-op FPS game. The objective of the game is to kill wave after wave of zombies. Each wave has a certain amount of monsters that you have to kill to go to the next wave, its kinda like a tower defence game with out the towers. Each person has 1 life per a wave, when they die they have to wait till the next wave to get back into the game.

Killing Floor has 7 different perks, each perk will give you a bonus in different kinds of weapons.
For example the support perk will increase damage, penetration, and ammo for shotguns. Also you get extra grenades. carry more guns, and get 30% off shotguns from the shop.

PAYDAY: The Heist Review

I never knew robbing a bank was so much fun until I played Payday. You get to shoot guards, sneak around a guarded building and steal rare gems! Some of the great things about this game is that the combat is balanced, and each map presents a different challenge to conquer.  The only problems that there are only 6 maps that you can play, so its very repetitive. But there are multiple ways to win each map, so you are not doing the exact same thing over and over.

Payday has a wide range of masks, guns, and skills that you can unlock. You can unlock masks from santa to obama, there is a total of 39 masks in the game currently. There is also 20 weapons that range from fully automatic machine guns, to a small pistol. All of them can be upgraded to have more damage, better accuracy, and bigger mags.

In payday there are 4 skill trees to pick from, each one helps you in a certain area.

  • Assault
Assault is all based on doing the most damage, you also unlock more ammo bags and more cable ties.

  • Sharpshooter
Stay back and take out cops from far away.
  • Support
Help your teammates when they are low on health with your doctor bag.
Unlocks alot of new weapons like the Compact-5
  • Technician
At level 5 a technician can unlock the sentry gun a big part of the technician's arsenal. Also when you are hacking a box it takes 20% shorter time!

Over all PAYDAY: The Heist is a great overall game, its truly the best game of its kind. I recommend this to anyone that likes shooting games and the thrill of robbing banks.

Dishonored game Review

Fun, exhilarating, and a great game overall
Dishonored is a game about revenge. You can chose from many weapons and magic powers, to bring down the people that backstabbed you. It all starts in a huge city where half of the population is infected by a plague.

Dishonored takes place in a city called Dunwall, it looks like london during the industrial revolution.
You are the main bodyguard of the empress, but when she is murdered you are the prime suspect and are put in jail. To your luck a group of loyalists think you are innocent, so they help you escape from jail and help you clear your name by assassinating the people that put you there.

Minecraft Review

Minecraft is a sandbox game developed and published by Mojang, it was released on November 18, 2011.
It was created by a Swedish programmer named Markus Persson, but many people call him "Notch".

The game has received many rewards in the 2 years it has been out. Some of the awards that it has received is Indie of the year, Best Downloadable Game Award, and more. This is one of the best games I ever played. Its your world, you can do whatever you want. If you want to build a giant castle with TNT cannons you can do it. The community of minecraft is one if the biggest and best ones out there in the world! You can't get any better people in a game.

Minecraft has a few different modes like Survival, Creative, and Adventure. They are all different ways to play the game.

  • Survival

In Survival you have a health bar that lowers when you get hit from monsters, when you get set on fire, fall in lava, and other ways. You get items by killing monsters, mining, and more!. You have a limited ammount of items that you can carry, you can have a max of 36 slots that you will drop on the ground if you die.
  • Creative

In this mode you have access to all the items in minecraft with a simple click of the button. Also you can fly, so its easier to create your projects! You don't take any damage except when you go under the world.
  • Adventure
Adventure mode is almost like Survival, but you cant break or place blocks. But you can interact with items, chests, levers and similar objects.
